If you’re reading this, you have a lot to catch up on.

Today’s need-to-know stories

1. ACC commit says his recruitment isn’t over.

In the meantime, find out how BC won over the 6-foot, 255-pound linebacker in this tell-all video.

2. One of Georgia’s top 50  is nearing a decision.

Javon Jackson, the 3-star cornerback from Sandy Creek, told the AJC a few days ago that he plans on arriving to a decision by Aug. 21, which just so happens to be the same day as his school's season-opener. Jackson tells the AJC that he's focused in on Wake Forest, Duke and South Carolina.

Which program is he leaning towards? What's stood out about each? Check it out for yourself here.

3. How Mississippi State bested Michigan and Florida

Find out how the Bulldogs were able to reel in this big target from McEachern — literally, he's 6-foot-6 — as he recaps his decision with the AJC's Chris Kirschner.

4. 3-star seeking SEC offers.

It's never too late to look ahead, and 2017's Josh Johnson is doing just that. The 3-star receiver out of Woodward Academy is hoping to attract offers from two SEC programs in particular.

Could one be UGA? He breaks it down in this video interview.

5. Steve Spurrier dishes it again.

Steve Spurrier is a walking, talking headline. And his reputation preceded him on Wednesday, when he called out his entire team for being "too soft". Spurrier didn't stop there. Apparently, he thinks his quarterbacks couldn't hit water even if they were standing in a pool.

Wait. He was joking? Watch his post-practice interview here.
