Auburn’s Toomer’s Corner has a new addition

Auburn fans who make it out to a game this season will notice a new addition at Toomer’s Corner, as it appears a renovated concrete tiger paw has been completed, as shown by a tweet from Auburn employee Matt Crouch:

The new paw was part of a larger renovation project at Toomer's Corner, a fixture at the Auburn campus for more than a century. While anyone who's been to Auburn for a game knows of Toomer's Corner, the city's most recognizable landmark caught the nation's attention in 2011, thanks to Harvey Updyke.

The new tiger paw is another example of how the Tigers have moved on from the tree poisoning incident. In addition to the paw, two oak trees were planted at Toomer's Corner earlier this year.

Toomer’s Corner first game day experience of 2015 will be Sept. 12, when the Tigers host Jacksonville State.
