On this day, July, 31 2015, former Georgia receiver A.J. Green celebrates his 27th birthday. In an effort to celebrate it with him, we have gathered five of the receiver’s best plays throughout his career.
In a 27-10 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012, Green made a diving catch for 14 yards during the third quarter. The fully-extended catch looks routine for the athletic receiver.
On the goal line in a 2012 28-6 win over Kansas City, Green snags an impressive one-handed catch over Javier Arenas and manages to keep both feet in bounds for the score.
In a bitter-sweet moment for Green, he rips the ball away from an LSU defender for a 16-yard score to put No 18. Georgia ahead of the No. 4 Tigers 13-12 with 1:09 remaining in the game. Unfortunately, Green was called for a controversial unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, and the Bulldogs missed the ensuing two-point conversion before losing 20-13.
