Preston Williams, a 5-star wide receiver from Lovejoy, GA, must retake the ACT and may not be cleared to play this season for the Tennessee Volunteers.
This comes according to Jimmy Hyam, an afternoon host on The Sports Animal in Knoxville. The AJC Super 11 wide receiver was the No. 6 player in the 2015 class for the state of Georgia.
Williams caught 36 passes for 937 yards and 18 touchdowns during his senior season before tearing his ACL. He was reportedly in good shape entering this season following rehab, but now may be in jeopardy of suiting up for Tennessee at all.
