On Wednesday, Alabama head coach Nick Saban made waves when he said his players were distracted by the NFL draft before his team played Ohio State in the semifinals of the college football playoffs.

Saban thought his players were more concerned about the draft grades they received before the game than playing for a chance to advance to the championship.

There’s no way of knowing if there was any validity to his comments, but it should be noted that Ohio State, Oregon and Florida State, the other teams in the playoffs, had future NFL players on their rosters, too.

The Tide’s head coach’s comments ticked off one of his former players.

Plaxico Burress, who played for Saban at Michigan State, went off on his former coach on his Twitter account.
