Despite being committed to the University of Florida, Chauncey Gardner plans to make a trip to rival territory.

Gardner, a 4-star cornerback from Cocoa (Fla.) High School, announced on his Twitter account that he will take an official visit to UGA for the Alabama game on Oct. 3.

Shortly after making that announcement, he said he could no longer make the trip because of an out-of-state high school game.

Either way, the 6-foot, 195-pounder will make a trip to Athens after his high school season finishes. That is important because it looks like UGA will get Gardner’s final official visit. He is scheduled to go
