Georgia State offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski. (Georgia State)
To mix things up, I thought I’d do a look-ahead to Georgia State’s August camp in a different format, A-to-Z:
I’ll continue to post one letter a day on the blog for the next 26 days:
Today is …
J is for Jeff Jagodzinski
The former Boston College coach has been in charge of Georgia State’s offense for the past two years when he joined Trent Miles’ new staff.
The offense has had more ups than downs and seems capable of breaking school records this year with some health (something it hasn’t had) and some luck (also something it hasn’t had).
The team averaged 22.7 points per game on 375.3 yards per game last year. Those numbers were drug down by the pitiful 60-plus yard shutout at Appalachian State. The passing game was solid with an average of 279 yards per game with quarterback Nick Arbuckle playing with a fourth-string running back and an offensive line decimated by injuries.
This year’s offense returns almost all of the skill position players and several starters on the offensive line.
So what records could fall this season?
