How did UGA’s targets look on Day 2 of The Opening?

UGA has a slew of targets competing at The Opening, Nike’s all-star event in Oregon. More than 150 of the nation’s top college football prospects are there. Competition in the 7-on-7 games began on Thursday, and most of the UGA targets stood out.

WR Kyle Davis

The state’s No. 1-rated receiver has lived up to his advanced billing. He had one of the best plays of the day on Thursday. On a pass from Michigan State commit Messiah DeWeaver, Davis leapt into the air and mossed a defender for this incredible grab.

What's the latest with Kyle Davis recruiting? He released his top 10 list on Wednesday, and UGA made the cut. His father, Ron Davis, told this to the Alabama website al.com: "With the spread offense that Tennessee, Auburn and South Carolina run, they really compliment him … I just don't see UGA being one that would actually develop him as well as some of the other schools would. I know Georgia is giving him a lot of hype about what they're doing… but Kyle needs to go to a school that best enhances his skill and somewhere that can prepare him for the next level."

QB Jacob Eason

Here’s UGA commit Jacob Eason throwing a perfect TD to uncommitted wide receiver AJ Brown. This score gave Eason’s team its first score on the day.

RB Elijah Holyfield

Holyfield told the AJC that UGA coaches have told him he's their No. 1 priority at running back. The Woodward Academy tailback released his top 10 on Wednesday, and UGA made the cut. Here he is showing his quick burst in the open field.

ATH Demetris Robertson

Robinson helped lead Team FlyRush to a victory on Thursday. He was named the player of the game. Earlier this week, Robertson named his top two schools: Stanford and Alabama. UGA is still in the mix, though.

Isaac Nauta

The nation's No. 1 TE confirmed to the AJC on Wednesday that he will attend Dawg Night. The FSU commit has shined at The Opening. Tennessee QB commit had glowing remarks about Nauta.

Here he is making a one-handed catch look easy:

Also, he caught a TD pass today:

WR Binjimen Victor

The Florida receiver will attend Dawg Night along with his Coconut Creek teammate Malek Young, who is a UGA commit. Here is Victor making a tremendous catch:

DT Julian Rochester

Here’s 5-star UGA commit Julian Rochester blowing by 3-star center Brett Heggie with ease. That quarterback would have been flattened.

DB Nigel Warrior

Warrior wowed recruiting analysts during 7-on-7 competition. The Peachtree Ridge defensive back recently announced that he won’t be committing until signing day, although he plans to release a top 10 list soon. The son of NFL All-Pro Dale Carter was a ballhawk during day 2 of The Opening.

DT Antwuan Jackson

The 4-star defensive tackle released his top 10 list on July 4. He listed UGA third behind co-leaders Auburn and Ohio State. Here he is beating 3-star Wake Forest commit Taleni Suhren to the bag.

DL Derrick Brown

After posting some poor testing numbers at The Opening, Brown shined in defensive line drills on day 2. The state's No. 1 prospect has UGA, Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee in is top four schools.

DB Jamyest Williams

Williams, the Archer High School stud, is one of the few 2017 athletes to get invited to the all-star game. That did not stop him from making a huge play. He released his top 10 list earlier this week and named Clemson his leader. UGA was ninth on his list.
