Antwuan Jackson plans to share some news along the holiday weekend. The 4-star defensive tackle still plans to trim his list of 42 scholarship offers down to 10 schools on July 4. There will be some good news up ahead for the red and black.
The rising senior told the AJC this week that UGA and Auburn will "always be there" among his top schools. Not only on this weekend's top 10 list, but until the very end.
“I am always going to be looking at Georgia,” said Jackson, who’s added 15 pounds since his junior year. “They are my home school.”
The Cedar Grove standout is not sure if he will attend UGA's elite "Dawg Night" prospect camp yet later this month. The rising senior said defensive line coach Tracy Rocker is one of if not the best defensive line coach in the country.
“I have always thought that about Coach Rocker,” Jackson said. “He’s at the top of the game right now coaching the defensive line. He just works his players every day like they are in the middle of a real game. He will push you a lot to bring out your best.”
The Cedar Grove standout has the phrase “Hercules” in his Twitter handle. It is warranted. The nearly 6-foot-3, 300-pounder can bench press 325 pounds and squat another 450. His mother gave him that name when he was “about two seconds” old. He had 31 tackles for losses last season.

Auburn has also always been on his mind. Former UGA defensive line coach Rodney Garner is recruiting him at the position for the Tigers.
“He’s always stressing the family,” he said. “He cares about you as a person and not just as a football player.”
Jackson has visited the Auburn campus at least “10 or 11″ times and plans to be a Kinesiology major. Jackson said he has only been to UGA about “five or six” times as a comparison.
He said his upcoming trip to “The Opening” at Nike headquarters in Oregon should conclude his travels for awhile.
“That should be it,” he said. “At least for this summer.”
The three-year starter grew up a Clemson and LSU fan. Jackson told the AJC he plans to make his commitment sometime during his senior season.
“I’m actually trying to graduate early,” Jackson said. “I am thinking about it. I don’t think I have to take any extra classes. I just can finish out all my core classes with one more semester.”
