ESPN NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. rates Auburn’s
, who pretty much everybody calls Duke, and Ole Miss' Laquon Treadwell as the top senior and top underclassmen receivers this season.
Here’s what he said about Williams, who will have Jeremy Johnson throwing him the ball this season:
"Not nearly as raw a route runner as you might expect in his first SEC season coming out of junior college, Williams was moved around and was able to win with strong hands and a big frame he uses to keep defenders away from the ball. If he cleans up the drops, there's first-round potential."
Williams had 45 catches for 730 yards and five TDs in 10 games in 2014.
Here’s what Kiper Jr. said about Treadwell, who is coming back from breaking his fibula and dislocating an ankle in the loss to Auburn:
"The physical gifts are obvious: Treadwell is 6-2, 229 pounds with strong hands, good strength and the quickness of a much smaller player. Now it's about recovering from the gruesome leg/ankle injury he suffered midway through last season. Based on the reports I have, there's no reason to bet against a big junior season."
Treadwell had 48 catches for 632 yards and five TDs in nine games in 2014.
