Archer’s football team could serve as extras in the next Under Armour commercial. Pass the look test? The Tigers can drop a perfect score on that one.

There are five Archer standouts with UGA offers, but the most underrated might be Dylan Singleton. He doesn't have the elite size like a Kyle Davis or an Isaiah Pryor. He doesn't even seem like a prototype for his position like an EJ Price or a Jaymest Williams.

But he just makes clutch play after play. Need a bone-jarring hit from the corner spot? The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder will do that after he just shook two defenders and out-raced another angle for a touchdown on offense. One national scout even recently told the AJC that if he could pick just one Tiger to go win a huge game with, he’d pick Singleton.

That’s akin to picking the shiniest Ferrari in the showroom. But who would Singleton choose among an assembly line of offers to go play college football?

“Georgia is very high on my list,” Singleton said. “They are a top school for me. Tennessee and Ohio State are right with them, too.”

Singleton shared two nuggets with the AJC: 1) Most recruiters are looking at him as a safety; 2) Ohio State is probably recruiting him the hardest.

“I think I can go up there to Ohio State and have some success,” Singleton said. “I talk to their coaches a lot. I like (Ohio State co-defensive coordinator) Chris Ash a lot. My Dad likes Ohio State. a lot. I can see myself going up there and playing well. I plan to get up there sometime soon this summer. They are high on my list, too.”

Singleton said he plans to make his commitment at the end of this month or during the first week of July. He’s currently recovering from shoulder surgery. He hasn’t seen any action on the 7-on-7 circuit this summer in order for it to mend well. He has been able to start working out and lifting weights. He also told the AJC that he does not plan to be an early enrollment candidate.

He said he’s comfortable playing at corner or at safety at the next level. He would also welcome a few touches as an athlete on offense.
