DT Tyler Clark of Americus Sumter
One of Georgia’s top 20 football prospects is staying home for his college ball.
Tyler Clark, a 4-star defensive tackle from Americus-Sumter High School, committed to UGA over Auburn and Clemson on Friday night. He's 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds.
“Georgia likes his athleticism,” Clark’s coach, Erik Soliday, told the AJC. “For a kid that size, he moves pretty well. It’s nice when you’re good in that area so you can work on some technique things. It speeds up the process I think. He’s a good kid. I think he’s going to work hard for them at Georgia.”
UGA now has 11 commits for 2016, with Clark being the first along the defensive line. The Bulldogs could sign as many as five at the position, with the other top targets being Derrick Brown, Julian Rochester and Antwuan Jackson.
