Here’s the latest on Everett Golson, the soon-to-be-former Notre Dame quarterback who is looking for a new home.

He’s now following Mark Richt on Twitter.

Here’s what Richt didn’t say about Golson on the SEC teleconference earlier today.

He backed the quarterbacks — Brice Ramsey, Faton Bauta or Jacob Park — currently on the roster.

“Basically, I try to keep any prospects in the same vein, where I don’t make any public comments on prospects.”

He also said: “I think we’ve got guys who are capable of getting the job done. We’ve got three on scholarship, which is a number that’s not — I’d always feel better with four or five on scholarship, quite frankly, just as a normal practice. But we’re just in a year where we have three. So we hope that everybody stays healthy and I think we’ve got some outstanding ballplayers.”

Colson has been rumored to be looking at Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and Florida State in an effort to play closer to his hometown of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
