SEC has most players drafted by NFL for ninth consecutive year

That’s nine and counting for the SEC.
The SEC had 54 players taken in the seven rounds of the NFL Draft, marking the ninth straight year the conference has had the most players selected in the annual draft.
The ACC was second with 47 picks, led by FSU, which had 11 players selected, and Louisville, which had 10.
Here’s the breakdown for all conferences:
- ACC — 47
- Pac-12 — 39
- Big Ten — 35
- Big 12 — 25
- FCS programs — 17
- AAC — 11
- Mountain West — 10
- Conference USA — 6
- MAC — 4
- Sun Belt — 3
It was the first time Tennessee hadn’t had a player drafted since 1963.
"The only schools that owned longer active streaks of having at least one player drafted each year were Notre Dame, Michigan, Southern California, Michigan State, Florida and Nebraska, according to STATS. All six of those schools continued their streaks this year," the Associated Press reported.
Florida State led the way with 11 total picks.
