E.J. Price, who didn't even have UGA listed in his top 10 a couple of months ago, committed to the Bulldogs on Thursday.

The 6-foot-6, 310-pounder from Archer High School is rated as the state’s No. 9 overall prospect for 2016. Some even consider Price to be the state’s top prospect on the offensive line, ahead of Ben Cleveland of Stephens County High School.

Price's commitment is a signature recruiting win for new UGA offensive line coach Rob Sale. The Bulldogs struggled last year with recruiting the state's elite offensive linemen, but Sale has abruptly turned things around by landing Georgia's top two for next year.

UGA has eight commitments for 2016, including offensive guard Aaron Dowdell of Creekside High School. Cleveland (who is rated as a 5-star and the state’s No. 3 overall prospect) also projects to play guard in college, while Price is slated to play offensive tackle.

Price transferred from Central Gwinnett to Archer after the completion of his junior season.
