Seven Georgia high school football standouts earned invitations this weekend to national all-star camps.
Five Georgia players were picked out of the Nike Opening Regionals in rainy weather on Sunday at Buford High School. They will be invited to participate in The Opening this July in Oregon. Here’s the five:
- QB, Jawon Pass, Carver-Columbus (Alabama and North Carolina among leaders)
- DB, Nigel Warrior, Westlake (son of former NFL All-Pro Dale Carter has his father alma mater, Tennessee, among his leaders, along with Ohio State, UGA and Auburn)
- OL, EJ Price, Archer (Michigan leads Auburn and UGA)
- DL, Antwuan Jackson, Cedar Grove (He's expected to follow his older brother to South Carolina)
- DB, Khalil Ladler, IMG (Former Stephenson High School standout transferred to Florida's IMG Academy for senior season)
On Saturday, Georgia players participated in a different camp sponsored by Rivals. Four earned invitations to the Rivals Camp Series in Baltimore this June. The four are:
- TE, Isaac Nauta, IMG (former Buford High School standout transferred to Florida's IMG Academy for senior season)
- DB, Nigel Warrior, Westlake (invited to both)
- DT, Derrick Brown, Lanier (UGA leads Alabama and Auburn for state's No. 1 overall prospect)
- DL, Antwuan Jackson, Cedar Grove (invited to both)
