Kennesaw State holds first scrimmage of spring

Kennesaw State held its first scrimmage of spring practice Saturday. Among the highlights:

* Running back Ryan Godhigh caught a short pass from quarterback Jaquez Parks, broke tackles and ran the distance for a 60-yard touchdown pass.

* Marcus Thurman stepping in front of a short pass to make an interception, which returned about 30 yards for a touchdown.

* Wide receiver Gordon Gray caught a touchdown pass of more than 20 yards from quarterback Jake McKenzie.

* Jae Bowen scored on a run of about 45 yards.

Kennesaw State continues its spring practice, with the spring game scheduled for March 28 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
