News of the week: It was a productive week, with the addition of two players, including North Gwinnett defensive end Anree Saint-Armour. He turned down offers from Michigan State and Iowa to play close to home. Tech also welcomed running back Marcus Marshall of Raleigh, N.C. He's the younger brother of Georgia running back Keith Marshall. He also reported offers from Vanderbilt and Wake Forest … Brad Stewart, a receiver from Benedictine, agreed to take a visit this weekend. He's the Class AA player of the year, and he has a grayshirt offer from Tech.
What to feel good about: There's still a week left before signing day, but Tech has mostly avoided last-minute defections as in past years. … This year's lone player who has reneged, receiver Brandon Singleton of Boutte, La., pledged to Cal after his visit last weekend, as expected.
What to worry about: Two defensive backs, Carrollton's Dante Wigley and Mount Paran Christian's Dorian Walker, got some attention from other schools, but appear to be solid to Tech, per JacketsOnline.

Up next: Along with Stewart, linebacker Victor Alexander of Jacksonville, Fla., is scheduled to be at Tech his weekend. Alexander committed to UCLA, but Tech has a decent chance if he shows up on campus.
