Alex Rodriguez, who hasn’t played in major league game since 2013, is getting back into the swing of things with Barry Bonds as his trainer.

A report in the San Francisco Chronicle, detail how Bonds often tutors hitters, including most recently new Cubs outfielder Dexter Fowler.

A-Rod for his part is trying to re-enter the league after missing the entire 2014 season after being suspended following baseball’s investigation into the Biogenesis case. Bond’s alleged links to steroid and the BALCO scandal have a long judicial history.

A-Rod posted evidence on his Instagram that he’s hitting the batting cages ahead of spring training.

A-Rod, who turns 40 in July, is owed $60 million by the Yankees for three more seasons.
