One of Georgia’s top college football prospects will announce his college decision during Saturday’s Army All-America Bowl on NBC-TV.
D'Andre Walker is a 4-star defensive end from Langston Hughes High School who will pick between Tennessee, UGA and Auburn during Saturday's telecast, which begins at 1 p.m.
However, Walker revealed to the AJC this week that after he makes his appearance to commit on national TV, he could still change his mind.
“If I like someone else a little better later on this month, I could change,” Walker said. “My final decision won’t be final until Feb. 4.”
That’s a pretty deal for UGA because Walker had to postpone an official visit with the Bulldogs from last month in order to take the SAT.
The only college that Walker will have visited before Saturday’s announcement is Tennessee. He’ll go to both UGA and Auburn later this month.

So what did Walker think about his trip to Tennessee? “My mother really liked it up there at Tennessee,” he said. “She liked because she has never been anywhere. She doesn’t have anything to compare it to so, of course, she would like it. But she liked it. I liked it, too.”
What does Walker like about UGA? “I like everything about UGA. I can go in there and develop as a player.”
And what about his third finalist, Auburn? What does he like about the Tigers? “I haven’t been up there in a minute, so it’s hard to say.”
Walker said he is putting a lot of thought into the decision: “I’m making sure I’m at a place where I can build myself into a better person. I want to get better and learn football. Of course, education is important. I want to go to school for Broadcasting.”
At least eight players from around the country are scheduled to announce on Saturday.
