Before he accidentally shot himself in the finger this week, former Major League Baseball outfielder Jose Canseco fired off a couple of angry tweets aimed at Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines.
The former Oakland A's and Texas Rangers player apparently was angry because a sister had to spend a long time on the phone with the airline, trying to resolve a problem.
Canseco didn’t disclose the nature of the problem in the Oct. 22 tweets, nor when or where it occurred. The sister also wasn’t identified by name. But clearly the former player was peeved.
“Make sure you do not fly delta airlines my sister spent 3 hours on the phone with them trying y of fix a mistake they made.no help at all,” Canseco told to his 510,000 Twitter followers.
He followed the first tweet with one similar: “Do not fly delta airlines what a scam.”
His followers’ reaction to his tweets ranged from “good advice jose”, posted by Peydo Santana, to “kinda like your career?” posted by Gordo, in reference to Canseco’s “scam” swipe.
On Tuesday, Canseco shot a left-hand finger while cleaning a gun, according to police.
