Two things were on the minds of many people Saturday in metro Atlanta: college football and shopping, the latter having been kicked into high gear by Black Friday.

Saturday’s weather didn’t get in the way of college football, and it shouldn’t get in the way of shopping, according to the Channel 2 Action News forecast.

The biggest change since Friday will be cloudier skies.

“The clouds are thickening,” meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

But that doesn’t mean rain — there’s none in the forecast.

When Georgia and Georgia Tech kicked off Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium shortly after noon, the temperature was at 58 degrees.

At halftime, about 1:40 p.m., the temperature was at 62 degrees.

And about 4:20 p.m., with Georgia owning a 38-7 victory, the temperature was still at 62. A high of 64 is expected.

A cold front moving into the area should mean a high of 61 on Sunday. But again, no rain in sight.
