It’s likely to rain Monday.

And Tuesday.

And Wednesday.

Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan called the forecast for the start of the work week “on the wet side,” and he wasn’t kidding. With highs in the 60s, the next several days look to be on the warm side for metro Atlanta, but rain will linger.

Rain was expected to move in by 8 a.m. Monday. As of Sunday afternoon, the forecast called for an 80 percent chance of precipitation Monday, a 70 percent chance Tuesday and a 90 percent chance Wednesday.

There is a chance for “stronger thunderstorms” on Wednesday, Monahan said, as cooler weather moves in.
