The weather Saturday in metro Atlanta broke new ground again.

The temp hit 79, just passing the mark of 78 set last year,

Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Katie Walls said.

The 79 reading is 20 degrees above the average temp for this date.

Rain is expected to break the warmer-than-usual pattern soon. Sunday and Monday both show a 100 percent chance of rain.
