With the exclusion of each other, there are perhaps no two brands on the market right now as recognizable, popular and successful as Nike and Apple. So imagine if these two giants teamed up.
For those looking for wearable tech that's significantly less nerdy than Google Glass and the Apple Watch, Nike CEO Mark Parker says don't worry. It's on the way, as the two companies plan to collaborate on … well, they're not saying exactly.
“I think the form it takes is critical. You can go from the very geeky kind of wearables today – we’ve all seen some of those – to what I think you’ll see in the future, things that are more stealth, more integrated, more stylish and more functional,” Parker said.

“Future wearable devices won't be sold primarily as wearable devices, but as fashionable clothing that happens to integrate a little connected intelligence. You sell connected clothing to geeks; you sell fashion to everyone,” Jonny Evans wrote.
Back in April, Nike discontinued its relatively popular Nike+ FuelBand. The FuelBand, along with Fitbit and Jawbone, made up more than 97 percent of the smartphone fitness tracker market in 2013.
But based on the product being discontinued and Nike essentially firing its hardware division, some assumed there wouldn't be any Nike wearable tech in the near future.
But if Parker is to be believed there is more on the way. He also said in his interview, "I'm actually quite bullish on our relationship with Apple. … Technologically, we can do things together that we couldn't do independently."
