Rain rain go away, soak another state on Saturday. Let's be safe on those roads, Austin. Here's what tech blogs are buzzing about this soggy Friday morning:

Chromebooks to get Android apps

It's been a good week for Google's Chromebook idea. After five years, the inexpensive laptops have toppled Apple's Macs in the first quarter of this year in units shipped. But even better news for Chromebook owners: Chromebooks will soon have access to the Google Play Store's huge library of mobile apps.

Incubation at Google

Speaking of Google, the company finally confirmed the existence of "Area 120," its corporate incubator project.

Yahoo bets on eSports

Despite the likelihood that it will be sold soon for a fraction of what it was once worth, Yahoo is still doing stuff, including launching an Esports app this morning. The app is called simply "Yahoo Esports."

Reddit on your website

In what seems like a long-overdue move, Reddit posts can now be embedded on websites. Go nuts, bloggers! Meanwhile, a group of former Redditors are launching a tamer version called Imzy.

Genius Bar in the shade?

What will Apple Stores of the future look like? Think more trees.

And here's your Friday treat. What's it like when someone terrified of zombies tries a VR game full of them? It does not go well!
