It’s official and the invitations are out — Apple has yet another new product or products to unveil. The date holds true to the rumors — October 22.
“We still have a lot to cover.” — that’s what the invite says and in case you didn’t already know, Apple’s invites are notorious for hidden clues.
"Last time for the iPhone it was circles which was kind of a hint about the home button. This time is says we have more to cover which is kind of an illusion to the smart cover which covers the iPad, which is what we think." (Via CNET)
Well, right now almost everything is just rumor, but CNET is definitely not the only outlet betting on new iPads. (Via Business Insider, PCMag, CBC)
"Expect the mini to get its big brother's Retina display and both are expected to get faster chips and better cameras. The new iPad will also reportedly be thinner." (Via KNBC)
And The Verge even brings up the possibility of seeing new MacBook Pros and Mac Pros.
Another little clue suggesting we might see news on iPads comes with the event’s venue.
The announcement will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco — the same place where the tech company unveiled both the original iPad and iPad 2. Hmmm. (Via ZDNet)
And some Apple fans are so certain the rumors and speculation are true, they’ve already started ditching their old tablets.
"In the past ten days alone there's been a nearly 250 percent spike in the number of trade ins. … Many of those are the new versions of the iPad also." (Via KRPC)
Well, whatever it is, we’ll see next week at the event — which just so happens to be coming right before the holiday season.
