Apple fans can expect to hear Wednesday about the company's new iPhone.

Mashable reported that Apple sent out invites for its iPhone event to media outlets last week.

The invite simply said, "See you on the 7th," in front of a bokeh background of blurred lights.

It's only definite that Apple will unveil the new iPhone, presumably called the iPhone 7 by numerous tech websites.

CNN Money reported that it is likely that Apple CEO Tim Cook will announce the release dates for various new software, including iOS 10, macOS Sierra, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10 operating systems.

There is no indication that the Apple Watch will get a new version or not on the invite.

Rumors swirled last month that the latest iPhone would have one jack for the lightning cable connector to charge the device and headphones with no traditional headphone jack.
