How hot is the Augmented reality/virtual reality sector? In the first two months of the year, investors have already poured $1.1 billion into those fields.  Tech Crunch takes a look at what that means. 

Curious about Apple's progress on its new 'spaceship' campus in Cupertino, Calif.? Over at Re/Code, they have drone video showing construction progress on the Apple Campus 2 that will house 12,000 employees when it's completed.

Over at Investopedia, writer Jay Wei breaks down some of the fundamental differences between chipmakers Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices. AMD, as you likely know, has its formal headquarters in Sunnyvale, Calif., but Austin is where most of its senior executives live and much of its engineering is done. The company is one of the world's largest chipmakers and has about 1,600 employees in Central Texas.
