In the 2008 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons picked former Boston College quarterback Matt Ryan.

Ryan was the No. 3 overall pick, and he was the first quarterback taken off the board in 2008.

The Falcons had two first round picks in 2008, and with the No. 21 overall pick, Atlanta drafted Sam Baker from USC.
