Seven-year-old A.J. Cucksey from Knoxville, Tenn. has formed an unbreakable connection with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Josh Dobbs through A.J.’s battle with cancer.

A.J.'s parents recount discovering A.J. had several brain tumors and needed chemotherapy at four years old. Even at four years old, A.J. sunk into depression.

Enter Dobbs.

During the beginning of his battle with cancer, A.J. went to a Tennessee football practice to visit the Tennessee quarterback and his parents said the light came back in his eyes.

Dobbs, from Alpharetta, Ga., started visiting A.J. and the two became brothers.

"Going to their house was like a home away from home," Dobbs said. "My mom, she's been in a wheelchair since I was five. Everything in my mind is slated to how can I help my mom? How can I make things easier? Is everything accessible? So with A.J., that was just instinct. I just wanted to be a part of his life."
