No obstacle will keep former Southern University wide receiver Devon Gales from playing football.

On Monday, Gales posted a photo on his Instagram of himself throwing and catching a football. Gales captioned the post, “PUT ME IN COACH IM READY!!!!!”

The former walk-on at Southern was paralyzed during his redshirt sophomore season when the Jaguars traveled to play the University of Georgia at Sanford Stadium on Sept. 26, 2015.

Since the injury almost two years ago, Gales has been rehabbing and showing signs of improvement and determination. In May, Gales posted a video of himself walking with assistance on Twitter.
