After the Miami Dolphins went three-and-out to start Thursday night's exhibition game, Atlanta Falcons' wide receiver Andre Roberts scrambled up the field to return a punt for 39 yards to the Miami Dolphins' 36-yard line.

Roberts' return set the Falcons up for a 15-yard touchdown run by running back Devonta Freeman.

Against the Dolphins, Roberts also had one kick return for 26 yards.

Roberts, who signed a one-year contract with the Falcons in March, is the third-team receiver behind Julio Jones and Justin Hardy on the Falcons depth chart.

A former Citadel receiver, Roberts was drafted in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals.

In his seven-year NFL career, Roberts recorded 2,899 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.

Roberts played with the Cardinals for three years then had a stint with Washington Redskins before spending last season with the Detroit Lions.
