Greg Olson will go down as the last Braves player to wear No. 10 before it hung on the back of Chipper Jones and was eventually retired in 2013 after the third baseman’s Hall of Fame career.

Said Olson, “Chipper was just coming up at the end of the 1993 season and had worn the number all his life so I think he wanted it,’’ said Olson, who just so happened was released after the ‘93 season. Jones originally was given No. 16 when he was called up to the majors and then went back to No. 10 when Olson departed.
