A high school freshman quarterback has been suspended from school for three days because of "inappropriate touching" during practice.

Garrett Moore said the incident happened on Oct. 2, when he was told by the center to move in closer to receive the ball.

Garrett told The Statesman Journal the center told him to "go way up there."

Moore said it felt very uncomfortable, stating, “I touched him, and he started laughing. I guess I tickled him.”

The center then moved to defense but walked back toward Moore several plays later and kneed him in the groin.

Coaches separated the two and Moore thought it ended there.

He was wrong.

A few days later, Moore was summoned to the assistant principal’s office.

He described what happened and talked about ongoing problems he had with other students before being sent back to class.

The other boy involved was interviewed and then Garrett was escorted from the building and suspended for "inappropriately touching another student.”

Ironically, Moore credits football for getting him on track at one point.

"It kind of changed my whole life ... I was in trouble when I was younger, just behavior, and right when I started playing football everything just changed.”
