Kirby Smart and the rest of the Georgia coaching staff aren’t the only ones scheming out winning plays for Monday night’s big game in Atlanta.
So are the legions of Bulldogs fans hoping to end their 38-year drought on getting to wear “Georgia - National Champions” emblazoned across their chests.

The retail giant said Friday that if UGA beats Alabama in Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, a number of its metro Atlanta stores will reopen for business immediately afterwards. Fans will be able to purchase the official winning locker room hat and T-shirt, along with other items proclaiming their beloved Bulldogs national champs.

And yes, we know, that whole "if" thing is to laugh. When Georgia wins, the participating stores will stay open Monday night as long as the merchandise holds out or customers stop coming in. And then they'll reopen at 6 a.m. on Tuesday (In the extremely unlikely event Alabama wins, some Dick's stores way over yonder there will be doing something similar, but who cares? Ain't gonna happen).
