In the second season under coach Kirby Smart, Georgia was selected to win the SEC East in the annual preseason media poll released on Friday, but SEC fans aren’t too confident in the Bulldogs.

Georgia received 1,572 points with 138 first-place votes in the poll, narrowly beating Florida for the top spot. The Gators finished with 1,526 total votes and 96 first-place votes.

Following Georgia and Florida in voting were Tennessee (998 points, three first-place votes), South Carolina (897 points, five first-place votes), Kentucky (869), Vanderbilt (554) and Missouri (388).

Predictably, Alabama was selected to win the SEC West and play the Bulldogs in the SEC Championship.
