Manager Bobby Cox said Kris Medlen would start Tuesday in San Francisco.

Medlen, who threw a side session Sunday, will face Giants ace Tim Lincecum.

In Medlen's major-league debut Thursday, he was charged with three hits, five runs, five walks and two wild pitches in three-plus innings. His ERA is 15.00.

"It went real good," Medlen said of his side session. "I'm pretty ready to get back out there and prove to everyone, even myself, that the other day was a fluke."
