The Atlanta Falcons are one of two teams that have reportedly reached out to free agent running back Danny Woodhead.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that both the Falcons and New England Patriots have contacted the former Baltimore Raven, who was released earlier this week.

The Falcons decided not to  tender running back Terron Ward as an exclusive rights free agent, leaving Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman as the only two running backs under contract for the 2018 season.

Woodhead missed eight games last season with a hamstring injury and missed 14 games with a torn ACL in 2016. The dual-threat back had 33 catches for 200 yards in 2017.
