Former Tennessee coach Butch Jones and Alabama coach Nick Saban have discussed the possibility of Jones joining the Crimson Tide's staff as an offensive analyst, the AL.com's Matt Zenitz reported Monday.

The two have met in person in Tuscaloosa to discuss the position, according to Zenitz.

In November, Jones was fired before his fifth season ended at Tennessee. Jones led the Vols to a 34-27 overall record, 4-6 in 2017.
