The Chicago Bears have hired former Oregon coach Mark Helfrich as the team’s offensive coordinator, according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Helfrich, a college football analyst Fox Sports, was fired from Oregon after going 4-8, the Ducks’ worst record in 25 years.

Helfrich served as head coach at Oregon for four years after a stint as the Ducks’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2009-2012.

Serving as Bears offensive coordinator would be Helfrich’s first time working with an NFL team.
