Nicholas Parra, a 9-year-old from Lawrenceville, was named the winner of the 2014 Peachtree Jr. T-shirt design contest.
Parra is the first two-time winner in the contest’s history after his design was also selected in 2011.
Parra is in fourth grade at Kanoheda Elementary.
The Peachtree Jr. 3K will be held at 9 a.m. May 17 at Piedmont Park. The Atlanta Track Club, which selected design, said 2,500 children aged 7-12 will participate in the race. Each will receive a T-shirt featuring Parra’s design.
Registration for Peachtree Jr. is open through May 14 at atlantatrackclub.org.
