Registration for this year’s Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race will open on March 15 and close 11:59 p.m. March 22.

The 10k race, which will be run on the Fourth of July, will use an online lottery system. Race organizers say everyone who registers will have an equal chance of being selected.

As many as 10 people can enter the selection process as a group. Each runner within the group will be placed in their appropriate wave based upon their submitted time.

Those who enter the lottery and haven’t been selected the previous two years will be guaranteed entry into this year’s race.

Atlanta Track Club members whose registration is current as of Feb. 1 will receive guaranteed entry into the race. Early registration for ATC members will take place March 1-14.

Race registration is $35 for ATC members and $38 for everyone else.

All lottery entrants will receive an email by March 25 informing them of their status for the race. Results will also be posted on www.peachtreeroadrace.org and www.ajc.com/peachtree on March 25.

More information can be found at www.peachtreeroadrace.org or at the health and fitness expo to be held July 2-3.
