Venus Williams' publicist announced the tennis star will play at Wimbledon after a police report stated the five-time Wimbledon champion was at fault in a fatal car accident, according to the Associated Press.

Williams’ publicist Stephanie Jones confirmed in an email to the AP that Williams is in London preparing for her 20th Wimbledon appearance on Monday.

Williams, 37, is set up to play Elise Mertens of Belgium at 6:30 a.m. EST in the first round on Monday.

Williams is seeded 10th, but is not scheduled to attend pre-tournament news conferences over the weekend.

Williams is reported to be at fault in a June 9 car accident in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. According to police, witnesses said Williams ran a red light, hitting another car. One of the passengers in the other car died two weeks later from injuries sustained in the crash.

Malcolm Cunningham, Williams' lawyer, released a statement on Thursday writing Williams had not been charged or cited for her involvement in the June 9 crash.
