A victim's protective order was filed in Oklahoma’s Cleveland County court Monday by a woman against Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson.
The details of the protective order were unknown until Tuesday when the Atlanta Journal-Constitution obtained a copy of the protective order.
Anderson’s attorney released a statement Tuesday denying allegations after previously stating the allegations were false.
"Mr. Anderson first learned of (the woman’s) request for a civil protective order late (Monday) evening,” Anderson’s attorney’ statement read. “Mr. Anderson is shocked and disturbed by (the woman’s) claims. The allegations are patently false. Mr. Anderson did not, nor would he ever, force himself on any woman.
"There are undoubtedly true victims of sexual assault, for whom Mr. Anderson carries a tremendous amount of compassion. However, there are those accused of sexual assault which they unequivocally did not commit – as is the case for Mr. Anderson."
A Twitter account believed to belong to Anderson was set up Tuesday and tweeted out a message that Anderson is innocent of all wrongdoing.
“In my wildest dreams, I never thought I'd have to set up a Twitter account to defend myself. In the most possible straightforward and honest manner, I did not do this,” the Twitter account wrote.
Anderson’s brother and Ole Miss football player, Ryder, tweeted support for his brother on Tuesday.
“Thank you to everyone supporting my family. I know my brother better than anyone and know that he’s innocent,” Ryder wrote. “Anyone who knows him knows his outstanding character. Continue to pray, I know that God will take care.”
A hearing for the emergency protective order will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 18, according to a court record.
Anderson, a sophomore from Katy, Texas, leads the Sooners with 965 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns this season. Anderson also has also caught for 283 yard and five touchdowns.
Oklahoma, ranked No. 2, will face No. 3 Georgia on Jan. 1 in the Rose Bowl in the semifinal round of the College Football Playoff.
