What Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers said following Sunday’s 44-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship game in the Georgia Dome:

“It’s a good defense. They play a simple scheme and run it really well. They rely on their pass rush and their drop lanes. They did a good job. We hurt ourselves with the missed field goal, and then another good drive down there and fumble inside the 10. It hurt the momentum of the game. Not getting the points, staying in the game. Their offense is hot right now. Matt (Ryan) is playing incredible. When you play a team like that you have to start fast. We had zero points in the first half. You aren’t going to win many games like that.”

-

“That’s the what-if game. It is uncharacteristic of our football team. Unfortunately in a game like this it comes down to the little details. If you aren’t on and making a little mistakes like that it’s going to be tough to win against a really good offense.”

-

“It’s incredible that he (Jordy Nelson) was out there.”

-

“I feel fine. I missed a couple of throws early. You know, we hurt ourselves in the first half. We put our defense … we didn’t give a lot of confidence.”

-

“We played a hot team. We have to give them credit. Matt’s playing incredible right now. It’s a very good offense. The defense played really well last week and did some good things today. I fee like we hurt ourselves more in the first half than they really stopped us. They have a good football team. There’s a reason they are moving on to the Super Bowl. They are going to be tough to stop.”
