Forty-five thousand tickets have been sold for Mexico’s soccer game against Paraguay on May 28 at the Georgia Dome.
The running total was announced on Tuesday at a press conference featuring Mexican national team coach Juan Carlos Osorio to promote the game.
The exhibition will be one of two “El Tri” will play as warm-ups for this summer’s Copa America Centenario. The other will be against Chile in San Diego on June 1.
The match against Paraguay will also likely be the last soccer game played at the Georgia Dome, which will be replaced by Mercedes-Benz Stadium next year.
Mexico’s first game at the Dome in 2009 saw more than 51,000 tickets sold or distributed. It’s Gold Cup game last year, a doubleheader featuring the U.S. saw more than 70,000 tickets sold or distributed, a record for soccer in the Atlanta.
