AUGUST 2, 2017 ATLANTA Workers continue the deconstruction of the Georgia Dome, Wednesday, August 2, 2017. As workers prepare Mercedes-Benz Stadium for its opening, a much less glamorous task is under way next door. The stadium is very different than when fans last saw it: tens of thousands of seats have been removed, utilities disconnected, some interior walls knocked down, turf removed, etc.
