The Atlanta Falcons just can’t live down that Super Bowl loss.

During Wednesday night’s 2017 ESPY Awards, host Peyton Manning brought up the well-known fact that the Falcons blew a 28-3 lead in the fourth quarter of February’s Super Bowl and went on to lose to the New England Patriots in overtime.

“I believe in the Falcons,” Manning said. “I believe in Matt Ryan and Dan Quinn and I know in my heart the Falcons will be back. I wanted the Falcons to hear that from me now, at the beginning of the show, because they’re going to stop paying attention three-quarters of the way in. Because that’s what they seem to do.”

Manning also gave a shout out to Falcons running back Devonta Freeman who was in attendance on Wednesday.

Falcons fans took to Twitter after the Manning’ roasted the reigning NFC Champions:
