A look at 10 athletes from Georgia competing in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Gunnar Bentz -- of Atlanta --, a sophomore at the University of Georgia, is competing in his first Olympics. He will be swimming in the 200-meters freestyle, which starts Sunday, Aug. 7.

Jenny Arthur -- of Gainesville -- is a two-time weightlifting national champion. She will compete in the women's 75 kg category, starting Friday, Aug. 12.

Christian Taylor -- of Fayetteville -- is the reigning men's triple jump Olympic champion. He will compete, starting Monday, Aug. 15.

Maya Moore -- of Lawrenceville -- is one of few players to have earned an Olympic gold medal, a world championship gold, an NCAA title and a WNBA championship. The women's baseketball team begins its defense of its 2012 Gold on Sunday, Aug. 7.

Christian Coleman -- of Atlanta -- is a sophomore on Tennessee's track & field team. His qualifying time of 10.16 seconds in the 100 meters ranked him fourth in the nation. He will compete in the men's 4x100-meter relay, which starts Thursday, Aug. 18.

Kristi Castlin -- of Atlanta -- is competing hin her first Olympics. She will represent U.S. in the women's 100m hurdles, which start Tuesday, Aug. 16.

Jay Litherland -- of Alpharetta --, a junior at the University of Georgia, made his first Olympics after defeating defending Olympic 400-meter individual medley champion Ryan Lochte at the U.S. Olympic Trials. Litherland will compete in the men's 400-meter IM, which starts Saturday, Aug. 6.

Yijun Feng -- of Atlanta - is the current U.S. mixed doubles champion in table tennis. Men's singles table tennis opening rounds start Saturday, Aug. 6.

Vincent Hancock -- of Eatonton -- won the gold medal in the men's skeet shooting in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Men's skeet starts Friday, Aug. 12.
